SaaS Asset Management & Reporting Platform

SaaS Asset Management & Reporting Platform

A cloud-based industrial asset management platform that centralizes equipment monitoring, alarm visualization, predictive maintenance, reporting, QR-enabled access, collaboration, and historical records for distributed maintenance teams across distributed industrial operating locations.

SaaS Asset Management & Reporting Platform

Project Overview

We developed a cloud-based SaaS asset management and reporting platform for an industrial maintenance organization focused on plant reliability and machine performance. The solution replaced fragmented Microsoft Access and Excel workflows with one secure environment for equipment monitoring, predictive maintenance, collaboration, and automated reporting. Built with Angular, ASP.NET Core, SQL Server, and Azure, it provides role-based access to asset health, alarms, trends, comments, documents, and reports. Teams can identify operational risks earlier, coordinate maintenance activities, and access consistent asset information across multiple locations.

From Excel to Efficiency: The Gaps in Legacy Monitoring

Legacy tools created fragmented workflows and delayed insights. The client needed scalable, real-time software to centralize asset visibility, reduce manual efforts, and improve decision-making across distributed industrial operations. By adopting saas inventory management, they replaced repetitive data entry with automated tracking and gained real-time operational transparency.

  • Outdated Manual Systems

    Outdated Manual Systems

Excel and Microsoft Access lacked automated tracking, trend visibility, and alert mechanisms, leaving asset oversight dependent on repetitive updates and disconnected operational records across locations.

  • No Real-Time Alarm Visibility

    No Real-Time Alarm Visibility

Teams lacked a dynamic view of Green, Amber, and Red equipment conditions, increasing the possibility that critical anomalies and developing risks could be overlooked effectively.

  • Slow Reporting Workflows

    Slow Reporting Workflows

Preparing asset-health reports manually delayed equipment reviews, maintenance scheduling, stakeholder communication, and the operational decisions required to protect plant reliability and machine performance across locations.

  • Inefficient Collaboration and Data Sharing

    Inefficient Collaboration and Data Sharing

Technicians and managers lacked one environment for asset comments, files, observations, notifications, and equipment-specific communication, making maintenance collaboration inconsistent across operating locations across operating locations.

  • Reactive Maintenance Practices

Without historical equipment trends and early-warning analytics, maintenance decisions depended heavily on fixed schedules or breakdowns instead of actual machine conditions and developing risks effectively.

  • Limited Cross-Site Access

Distributed technicians and managers needed secure browser-based access to current asset data, historical reports, alarms, and supporting documents from different operating locations across operating locations.

Solutions Provided by Ditstek

Ditstek transformed spreadsheet-based asset tracking into a centralized SaaS platform for monitoring, digital reporting, collaboration, and predictive maintenance, creating one governed source of equipment information across distributed industrial operating locations.

Digital Reporter Wizard

Digital Reporter Wizard

A guided reporting workflow generates machine-health reports using current readings, alarm conditions, historical information, and equipment trends while maintaining controlled and traceable report versions effectively.

Real-Time Alarm Visualization

Real-Time Alarm Visualization

Green, Amber, and Red equipment states give maintenance teams an immediate understanding of machine condition, helping them prioritize attention and respond to developing operational risks.

Predictive Trend Analytics

Predictive Trend Analytics

Monthly and yearly visualizations reveal recurring equipment issues, changing health patterns, and potentially at-risk assets, supporting earlier intervention before avoidable machine failures occur across locations.

Centralized Asset Collaboration

Centralized Asset Collaboration

Asset-level comments, document uploads, observations, and automated email notifications keep relevant maintenance information and team communication connected within the same governed operational workflow across locations.

Role-Based Operational Access

Administrators control platform permissions according to company, asset, role, function, and responsibility, ensuring users access only the equipment information and workflows relevant to them effectively.

QR-Enabled Reporting and Field Access

Unique machine QR codes connect technicians with equipment history, alerts, reports, and documents, while PDF and spreadsheet exports support audits and downstream analysis across locations.

Features We Provided

The platform combines guided reporting, equipment monitoring, predictive analytics, collaboration, access control, and field tools to improve visibility and coordination across industrial maintenance operations across distributed industrial maintenance operations worldwide.

Reporter Wizard with PDF Reports
