Centralized Automotive Lending & E-Contracting Platform

Centralized Automotive Lending & E-Contracting Platform

A secure, scalable automotive lending platform that centralizes multi-lender credit processing, deal management, digital contracting, and funding while supporting online digital retailing and in-store dealership workflows through an event-driven cloud architecture.

Centralized Automotive Lending & E-Contracting Platform

Project Overview

The Centralized Automotive Lending & E-Contracting Platform is a comprehensive automotive finance software solution designed to streamline loan and lease management across online digital retailing and in-store dealership workflows. Acting as a multi-lender automotive platform, it connects dealership systems with third-party lending platforms, credit and verification services, and e-contracting systems. The platform ingests credit applications and deal data, dynamically routes submissions to appropriate lenders, normalizes responses, and facilitates downstream contracting and funding. A comprehensive API ecosystem supports configuration, origination, document execution, and deal synchronization at scale.

Business Challenges We Addressed

Automotive lending required the secure orchestration of sensitive financial information across multiple external systems while maintaining financial accuracy, operational continuity, data integrity, and consistent processing across complex dealership financing workflows.

  • Fragmented Integration Logic

    Fragmented Integration Logic

Differing lender requirements created calculation discrepancies, requiring provider-specific financial calculations, validation rules, and lease-specific tax, payment, financing data mappings across multiple lending systems.

  • Opaque Submission Failures

    Opaque Submission Failures

Legacy integrations occasionally masked submission failures and returned misleading statuses even when deals failed to reach lenders, creating significant data integrity, operational tracking, and reconciliation risks.

  • Data Integrity and Validation Gaps

    Data Integrity and Validation Gaps

Upstream inconsistencies included down payments equaling or exceeding selling prices and mismatched worksheet types, requiring stronger validation within the auto loan management software workflow.

  • System Unavailability Risks

    System Unavailability Risks

Downtime affecting a single third-party lender interface or downstream configuration service could disrupt credit application processing, potentially corrupting transactions and preventing dealerships from completing financing workflows.

  • Complex Fee and Tax Structures

    Complex Fee and Tax Structures

State-specific taxes and fees varied significantly across providers, while upstream systems frequently transmitted fragmented fee data that downstream contracting systems could not process consistently.

  • Sensitive Financial Data Protection

    Sensitive Financial Data Protection

Processing borrower, credit, financial, and dealership information across multiple connected systems required strict organizational isolation, secure authentication, controlled authorization, encryption, and protection against sensitive data exposure.

How We Architected the Solution

We architected a highly available digital automotive finance platform using Domain-Driven Design, CQRS principles, and resilient AWS serverless infrastructure to strengthen integration reliability, financial integrity, security, and operational continuity.

Normalized Integration Abstraction

Normalized Integration Abstraction

A dedicated abstraction layer normalizes borrower financial values and standardizes decision and funding statuses across third-party lending and contracting systems while simplifying differences between provider-specific integrations.

Server-Side Financial Integrity

Server-Side Financial Integrity

Monetary values use decimal precision while Amount Financed, Total Sale Amount, Net Trade-In, and other worksheet totals are calculated server-side to prevent rounding and calculation inconsistencies.

Standardized Fee and Tax Processing

Standardized Fee and Tax Processing

Server-side normalization consolidates fragmented fee and tax information before forwarding payloads downstream, enabling differing upstream formats to meet the data requirements of connected contracting systems.

Graceful Degradation and Fault Tolerance

Graceful Degradation and Fault Tolerance

AWS SNS/SQS decouples critical workflows so temporary downstream service failures do not prevent core deal creation, allowing essential automotive financing operations to continue during partial system outages.

Controlled Lender Submission Processing

Controlled Lender Submission Processing

Lender submissions are processed in a controlled sequence to prevent DbContext concurrency failures while maintaining reliable submission tracking and accurate lender-level outcomes across financing workflows.

Strict Organizational Isolation and Security

Strict Organizational Isolation and Security

Secure token-based authentication, authorization, and organization-scoped controls isolate dealership data, while sensitive applicant information is validated, encrypted, and protected from raw application logging or display.

Core Platform Capabilities

The dealership finance software combines multi-lender routing, comprehensive deal management, digital contracting, secure document execution, trade-in processing, applicant management, and event-driven synchronization within a centralized automotive financing ecosystem.

Multi-Lender Credit Application Routing

Multi-Lender Credit Application Routing

The automotive credit application software dynamically routes applications to multiple third-party lending platforms, creating separate lender-submission records to track individual outcomes, responses, and decision statuses.

Comprehensive Deal & Worksheet Management

Comprehensive Deal & Worksheet Management

The automotive deal management software supports Retail, Lease, Balloon, and Cash deals while validating prerequisites, aligning worksheet and deal types, calculating derived values, and applying role-based controls.

Secure E-Signing & Ceremony Management

Secure E-Signing & Ceremony Management

The automotive e-contracting platform provides a dedicated Angular Material interface supporting role-based access, two-factor OTP authentication, email and SMS notifications, guided signature navigation, and document completion workflows.

Automated Contracting & Funding

Automated Contracting & Funding

The platform integrates with a third-party e-contracting and funding system to retrieve required forms, submit documents, check eDocs status, vault contracts, and map financing product information.

Trade-In & Negative Equity Handling

Trade-In & Negative Equity Handling

Multiple trade-in vehicles can be associated with each deal while the platform calculates net equity, identifies negative equity, and incorporates resulting values into financing worksheets.

Joint & Business Applicant Processing

Joint & Business Applicant Processing

Joint credit applications are explicitly modeled with primary and secondary borrower ordering, required-field validation, and relationship mapping for roles including CoSigner, Guarantor, and Spouse.

Event-Driven Webhook Dispatch

Event-Driven Webhook Dispatch

Inbound lender webhooks and outbound deal synchronization notifications are processed through AWS SNS/SQS, while contract validation responses are standardized into clear and consistently managed statuses.

Centralized Document Storage & TTL Management

Centralized Document Storage & TTL Management

Secure PDF, JPG, and PNG uploads use standardized naming conventions, while configurable DynamoDB Time-To-Live rules automatically purge expired credit applications and associated deal records.

Off-Ramp Deal Resubmission

Off-Ramp Deal Resubmission

The dealer lending platform allows dealers to retrieve declined credit applications and resubmit them to additional lenders, presenting new financing offers through online or in-store workflows.
